Russia’s S7 Group aims to begin certifying its Spectra Aircraft PV-10 Tango next year, before commencing serial production of the light single.

Spectra presented the four-seat Tango at the Innoprom 2025 industrial trade fair in Ekaterinburg.

The aircraft is intended as a platform for flight training as well as private use.

“Our task is to cover the full cycle of training civil aviation pilots,” says Spectra chief Alexander Stepanov.

“The Tango aircraft is already attracting significant interest from Russian flight schools and state enterprises.”

S7 Group – the parent of S7 Airlines, one of Russia’s largest carriers – says the development plan involves completing operational tests this year and producing several aircraft.

Certification will start next year with the launch of serial production in late 2026 or early 2027.

S7 Group also showed off the Tango’s APD-520 engine, production of which will also be carried out at its facilities.

“[We] are convinced this project will make a significant contribution to the training of highly-qualified personnel for the domestic aviation industry,” says Stepanov.
