A former chief pilot for British Airways (BA) and an ex-finance director for one of the airline’s subsidiaries will lead the review into Aurigny’s recent flight disruption.
Doug Brown and Mark Elliott work for aviation advisors PA Consulting, which was commissioned by the States Trading Supervisory Board (STSB) to carry out the review.
The inquiry, which is expected to cost £65,000, will focus on whether the airline’s fleet can deliver reliable air links for the island after a series of recent problems.
The STSB, the airline’s sole shareholder, said Mr Brown was a “subject matter expert in airline and flight operations” while Mr Elliott “has extensive experience in purchasing, financing and leasing aircraft”.
