Azerbaijan Airlines has introduced a further Airbus A320neo to its fleet, and plans to bring in another during October.

The aircraft are part of a broad programme through which the carrier intends to modernise with over 30 new aircraft by 2032.

Azerbaijan Airlines says the twinjet is fitted with a two-class layout and features high-speed in-flight Internet capability.

It says the arrival of the aircraft “marks a significant milestone”, strengthening the Baku hub’s role as bridge between Europe and Asia.

“Fleet modernisation is one of the core directions of our strategy,” says president Samir Rzayev.

“The Airbus A320neo will not only provide our passengers with greater comfort and service quality but also allow us to operate more sustainably.”

Registered VP-BAK, the jet is fitted with CFM International Leap-1A engines.
